Ideas for use:

Preservice Education

"I use this video to show my preservice students how to integrate into academic instruction the teaching of conflict resolution and provide their students with opportunities to practice positive social skills for character development. Students in the video are shown sharing ideas, making collaborative decisions and working together to produce a written product. This video helps my preservice students see that working in partnerships is a way for even the youngest students to learn and practice the social skills of staying on task, disagreeing appropriately, using soft voices, using polite words, sharing ideas and materials, attentive listening, valuing the contributions of others, resolving conflicts fairly, managing time, achieving consensus, giving and accepting opinions, taking turns, etc."
