Support for Graduate Students

The Center for Character and Citizenship has established a structure for awarding small grants to Graduate Student Affiliates of the CCC for scholarly work of relevance to the CCC mission. The CCC is grateful to Dr. Robert Frank for his generous gift kicking off this support.

A limited number of one-time annual grants* (maximum per grantee per year: $500) will be available to support:

  • costs of research**; e.g., supplies, photocopying
  • travel for presentation at a conference ***
  • transcriptions
  • field research-related costs including participant incentives
  • tuition
  • publication reprint costs
  • other work supporting study in the areas of Character and Citizenship education
In order to request a student affiliate monetary support, please complete the application for funding, and supply a 1-2 page description of your need and/or project (including the specific budgetary requests, the justification for the need, and its relevance to the CCC mission).  Download the graduate student support application form.

*Awards are contingent on available funding
**Research-related activities involving human subjects must have IRB approval before funds will be distributed
***Awards are contingent on papers being accepted
