Leadership Academy in Character Education®

LACE® educational services, programs and workshops are provided to schools administrators in the United States and internationally.

The Leadership Academy in Character Education is an award winning, complex and comprehensive year-long professional development experience for school leaders.

Since 1998, LACE and the Leadership Academy in Character Education have helped school leaders develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to create, implement and evaluate programs and processes that make their schools true learning communities in which character education is a vital part of the curriculum and culture. LACE is supported by the Sanford N. McDonnell Endowed Chair in Character Education.

Two related experiences which are part of the LACE® educational services include vLACE and aLACE.

vLACE℠ is a blended learning video based LACE program currently being utilized in Mexico, Spain and Taiwan.

aLACE℠ (advanced LACE) provides LACE alumni with professional development events and networking opportunities post LACE graduation.

CEEL℠, Character Education for Educational Leaders educational services incorporate servant leadership into character education for K-12 school leaders.

CViL℠ , Cultivating Virtues for Leadership, is both a framework and a program for school leaders that strengthens leadership characteristics and behaviors to improve their personal well-being and their professional ability to serve and lead successfully.

The CViL Project seeks to help educational leaders and those aspiring to become educational leaders to understand and cultivate the virtue based practices that will help them thrive in what we know are extremely demanding and immensely influential careers.

CViL is made possible through grants from the Kern Family Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation.
